This Privacy Policy explains what Waveie collects, why, who we share it with, and what you can tell us to do about it. It covers waveie.com, myWaveie, Waveie internet service, Waveie Mobile service and our customer care.
We collect what we need to deliver service, bill you and keep the network safe. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell or share your browsing history. You can see what we hold, correct it, and ask us to delete it.
Pages viewed, referring page, approximate location from IP, device and browser type, and the addresses typed into the coverage checker. See the Cookie Policy.
We do not inspect the contents of your internet traffic, and we do not build a record of the websites you visit. Network management operates on traffic volumes and security signals, not on what you are looking at.
| Purpose | What it involves |
|---|---|
| Delivering service | Provisioning, activating equipment, routing your traffic, supporting you when something breaks. |
| Billing | Charging you, collecting payment, handling disputes and refunds. |
| Network operation | Capacity planning, fault diagnosis, deciding where to add coverage. |
| Security and abuse | Detecting attacks, fraud and compromised devices, and enforcing the AUP. |
| Emergency services | Passing your registered location to emergency responders when 911 is dialled. |
| Legal compliance | Regulatory reporting, tax, and responding to lawful process. |
| Marketing | Telling you about Waveie products. You can opt out at any time without affecting your service. |
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as follows.
If you use Waveie voice or mobile service, federal law gives special protection to Customer Proprietary Network Information: the numbers you call, when, for how long, the services you subscribe to and how you use them.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and others — have rights to know, delete, correct, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We extend the substance of these rights to all our customers rather than operating a state-by-state system.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in California law. We honour the Global Privacy Control signal.
You will not be charged more or given worse service for exercising a privacy right. To make a request, call 888-212-WIFI or use waveie.com/support. We verify identity before acting, respond within 45 days, and may extend once where a request is complex. You may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision.
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account and billing records | The life of the account, then as long as tax and accounting rules require |
| Call detail and CPNI | As required by federal rules, then deleted or aggregated |
| Network performance data | Typically short-lived in identifiable form, then aggregated for planning |
| Security and abuse logs | As long as needed to investigate and to defend claims |
| Support recordings and transcripts | A limited period for quality and training |
| Coverage-checker addresses | Retained with your account if you order; otherwise short-lived |
We use encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege administration, logging and staff training. No system is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant regulators as the law requires, and for CPNI we follow the specific federal process in Section 5.
Waveie service is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Household connections are, by nature, used by people of all ages; parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use, and we suggest configuring parental controls on the devices themselves.
We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with its effective date; material changes are notified as described in Terms, Section 17.
